Assembled pole height is 72 3/4" (6 ft 3/4 in), or 75" with the ball finial.

The parts are powder coated, so the fit is tight on purpose.

1. Slide the dummy hitch into your 2" receiver and secure it with the hitch pin and cotter.
2. Install the hitch tightener with the 3/4" wrench and snug it up so the hitch doesn't wobble.
3. Set the bottom pole in the dummy hitch and lock it with a locking pin.
4. Join the top pole to the bottom pole and lock it with the second locking pin.
5. Attach your flag with the clamps, keeping the grommets outside the clamps.
6. Tighten the security screws with the security tool.

For extra peace of mind, add the Hitch Lock Pin. Your FanPole isn't cheap. The last thing you want is someone stealing your setup.

Is a flag included?

No. FanPole comes with the pole and all the mounting hardware. Bring your own flag.

What size flag does it fly?

It's built around a standard full-size flag, and it handles bigger ones too. We fly a 4x6. The only real limit is ground clearance: the pole is about 6 ft tall, so on a lower vehicle a big flag can drag.

How tall is the pole?

The assembled pole is 72 3/4" tall, and it's 75" to the top of the ball finial. That's the pole itself. How high it rides above the road depends on your hitch height.

Will it fit my hitch?

It fits a 2" receiver. If you have a 1.25" receiver, a 1.25" to 2" adapter can work. We don't sell one, so pick one rated for your hitch and snug everything down tight.

I have a Jeep, or my tailgate hits it. What do I do?

Get the Extended Dummy Hitch. It's over twice as long, so the pole clears your spare or tailgate.

Do I have to drill anything?

No. FanPole pins into your hitch receiver.

Can I drive on the highway with FanPole?

Yes. You can drive on the highway with FanPole as long as it's installed correctly and in good working condition. Follow the setup video, and check that every screw, clamp and the finial are tight before you roll.

Is it legal?

Keep your plate and lights visible, and check your state's rules on rear overhang. We don't write tickets and we don't write law. (We just think it should be illegal NOT to fly Old Glory.)

What keeps someone from stealing it?

Locking pins and security screws come in the box. Add the Hitch Lock Pin if you want your hitch locked down too.

Will it wobble?

Snug up the hitch tightener and it holds tight in the receiver.

Can I fly the American flag and my team flag at the same time?

Yes. Add the Double Barrel to fly two flags.
